Sister Christina Thacker: Week 59 -"Yeehaw!"

This week has been fun!

The biggest thing that happened was that DAVE GOT BAPTIZED!!! on Saturday.

It was an adventure because the font wasn't filling up with much warm water, so it was kinda cold. We boiled 4 pots of water to dump into the font

It was a super small baptism, just us, Dave, his daughter, the baptizer and a member of the Branch Presidency. The first words out of Dave's mouth after he came up out of the water was, "Yeehaw"!

We had a lesson at the church with Marissa and she was very happy to be able to check it out before she comes. She is excited to be baptized on Dec 19th!

We found a few new people this week.

A man named Jim requested a missionary visit so we gave him a call.

He has been going through some tough things so we prayed with him and then set up another lesson with him for this next week. He told us he wasn't interested in joining the church but he wanted to learn about it! We said absolutely! The next day, we got another call from him thanking us for praying for him and he asked us if we could talk sooner than we had planned! Its amazing to see the power of the Spirit that comes from prayer and his heart is opening to the message.

We made some good food this week! Including BLT's, Tacos, Lemon Chicken, sheet pan Chicken, Crepes and Salted Caramel Cookies! Tasty stuff!

And now for the most exciting thing of this email!!!

This past year we have been facing a lot of uncertainty with worldly but also personal challenges! This has been a difficult time for everyone. On Friday at 11am (MST), 1pm (EST) Russell M.
