So much happened this week! A lot of cool things and a lot of funny things!!
Please read to the end! It was amazing! Lets start from last Tuesday.
We had a really good Tuesday training over zoom as a mission. We have really been focusing on President Nelson's talk, "Let God Prevail". Its been super cool and at the end of the meeting President Vest shared some amazing news about Zone conference for this week, which I will get to later in the email...
Wednesday we had District Council (DC).
funniest thing happened! We still need to have a member present at our meetings (cause it's just us and the Elders) and through much trial and tribulation we were able to get our friend Amanda to come!!! She is amazing! Well anyway, so we have been studying the principle of the Word of Wisdom, and roleplaying it during DC. So we split off into our separate groups and were trying to talk over each other kinda.
Well one of our Elders was roleplaying with me and Amanda. And as he is roleplaying, keep in mind we all have masks on so everything is muffled, he says, "and vaping, which has recently been added." Amanda leans forward and looks SOOO concerned! Amanda then says, "BACON?!"
The Elder was so confused and clarified "Vaping!" And Amanda died laughing!! A few seconds later after everyone had heard what had happened we were all laughing so hard for like 3 minutes!! It was awesome!! Amanda thought that Bacon was now against the Word of Wisdom.
Thursday was a crazy day all by its self. We had a weight lifted off of our shoulders. We had a great phone call with our Sister Vest and it was just awesome. We had another mission wide training over zoom and we talked about a talk from Elder Bednar called, "Converted unto the Lord". It is amazing and I recomend it to ALL of you.
Friday some funny things happened. We keep finding this Caterpillar in our yard (like 4 times!) and we have named him Puff because I keep quoting a movie. Can anyone guess it?
"Awe, my Caterpillar never turned into a butterfly." "That's a cheeto." "Oh."
Saturday....
Flu shots, wasn't too bad, and we saw Puff again.
Sunday night we got ready....
Ready for what?
Zone conference!!!
Jump back to Tuesday! So at the end of the meeting, President Vest starts giving us information for Zone Conference. We were having a break from getting new missionaries for a little bit, and that means no one is in quarentine anymore. President Vest tells us that we are going to have zone conference in.... PALMYRA!! Yes, that's right, Palmyra. We were able to go to the Sacred Grove and we had most of our training on the Hill Cumorah!
So because it was in Palmyra, we had to leave at 7:20am to get there by 1pm... Then we left there at 4:30pm after Zone Conference and got home at 9:30pm... We drove for 5 Hours.... Both ways!!! We had the furthest drive in the mission.
We had about 30 minutes in the Sacred Grove, it was beautiful!!! Sister Kobe and I went off a ways in the Grove and found a bench. We had some time to pray and write in our journals. We also collected some leaves.
There was such a peace there. It helped me know more of how the Spirit feels. You don't need to have a big experience, or see an angel. Just the fact that it was peaceful, I know that it is a sacred place!
Then we headed to the Hill Cumorah and our training was about Joseph Smith and the Angel Moroni. It was amazing to talk about the preparation of Joseph Smith to recieve the Gold Plates. We got some pictures on the Hill and in the Grove. It was absolutely amazing!

I know the Restoration is true and that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God!!
I had an amazing opportunity to pray about the Book of Mormon in the Sacred Grove. I finished the Book of Mormon yesterday morning, so I took that opportunity. It was amazing!
Sorry this was so long!! But it was an amazing week!
